The Footprint Arena renovations were aimed at enhancing the fan experience by creating a modern, open environment with areas that would be used to socialize and enjoy the game experience. With guest comfort in mind, behind-the-scenes infrastructure upgrades, like HVAC, are vital. The heart of the arena cooling system (Central Plant) was overhauled including installation of three 1200-Ton Carrier Chillers to maximize efficiency and allow the arena to cut-over to a self-sustaining cooling system, rather than continuing to rely on the original third-party water source, living up to the state-of-the-art venue expectations.
