Project Location: Mesa, AZ
This project posed a challenge for the Building Services team due to a confined space! At the DoubleTree by Hilton, the existing chillers were removed and replaced with (2) new 250-ton Carrier Water Cooled Screw Chillers, (2) Armstrong chilled water circulation pumps, and a 1,000-gallon storage tank. Additionally, 400-tons of temporary portable cooling was provided onsite during the changeout. There is no doubt that this was a complex project, as the existing chillers were in the basement, requiring them to be rigged out carefully through a hole in the wall!
