Ingenuity, dedication, pride of belonging, integrity, focus on the future and a Team that believed consistent positive change could lead to a brighter future. These traits have endured throughout the company’s history and have been its formula for success.
1962– Tri-City Air Conditioning & Sheetmetal’s primary focus was the residential market, which consisted of single family housing, apartments and condominiums. Although the majority of the business came from the new construction market there was also a strong presence in repair and replacement. The Nothum family-owned business developed an impeccable reputation which led to other opportunities in the commercial sector and eventually would lead to the whole family being employed by the company.
Early 1980’s– The new construction residential focus started to fade due to better opportunities and the stronger demand from the commercial sector. The company had the resources to capitalize on these opportunities because of the unmatched talent, sheetmetal fabrication facilities and strong emphasis on customer loyalty and continuing service. Likewise, several markets became the main focus, including hospitality, retail, office buildings, schools and government work.
1980-1997– Tri-City experienced significant growth and went from being a three million dollar contractor to a thirty million dollar company!
1997–Tri-City Mechanical made a bold move by committing to become part of a National Consolidation of HVAC contractors – Comfort Systems USA. The company joined eleven others to form this new public business. Today Comfort Systems USA has over 60 companies and is recognized as a premier national provider in the installation and service of heating, ventilating, air conditioning, plumbing, piping and continued services for repair and replacement of these systems.
